South Asian Tourism Federation formed

The South Asian Tourism Federation was formed Friday under the Dhaka Declaration to promote regional tourism at a meeting held at a city hotel Friday.
Presided over by Bangladesh International Hotel Association President HM Hakim Ali, the meeting was attended by the representatives from India, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.
An interim board was constituted with Hakim Ali as chairman while the vice chair will be confirmed from India. Other office-bearers are: Vice Chair 2- DB Limbu, President of Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA); Secretary General: Sonam Dorji, Executive Director of Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO), Treasurer: Ms Sangeeta Rana, Secretary General of Hotel and Restaurant Association of Bhutan (HRAB).
