The Bangladesh Railway (BR) will operate some special trains on June 16, if the Eid-ul-Fitr is observed on June 17.
The BR authorities said they have sold all advance tickets for different routes on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of the Muslim community.
The BR started selling advanced tickets from June 01 to ensure hassle-free journey for the holidaymakers.
The advanced tickets for travelling on June 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 were sold on June 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 and 06 respectively.
The BR will start selling return tickets from June 10, and will continue it until June 15. The return tickets will be sold on June 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 for June 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 respectively.
It sold advanced tickets for June 15 on Wednesday.
A high official of the BR told the FE that they will finalise the number of special train services for June 16 on June 15.
On the last day of selling advance train tickets, a number of aspirant passengers were found standing in long queues for purchasing tickets.
The tickets were sold from 26 counters at Kamalapur Railway Station in the capital.
