S’pore docs will provide treatment in Bangladesh

Local patients will, from now on, get healthcare services from the Singaporean physicians in Bangladesh following a deal signed with a local private hospital.
Impulse Hospital has taken the initiative to bring best healthcare facility in the country from where a large number of people travel to various overseas destinations for medical purpose.
The hospital managing director Dr Zaheer Al-Amin disclosed the information on Saturday at a press conference styled 'Singapore-Bangladesh joint venture health initiative at the hospital'.
He said they have confirmed a group of specialists of various disciplines and some of them like Singaporean renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Timothy Lee have already started giving services.
He said many Bangladeshi patients generally receive treatment from Dr. Timothy Le in Singapore. "So, it is the golden opportunity for them," he added.
The Singaporean doctors -Dr Ravishankar Krishnamurty, Dr Manish Taneja, Dr Chang Wei Chun, Dr James Wong, Dr Chong Lich Leslie, Dr Sivathasan Cumaraswamy- will offer different health services at the hospital regularly.
Chief operating officer of the hospital Dr Dabir Uddin Ahmed, also spoke on the occasion.
The managing director said the cost will come down by one-third than that of Singapore. "Our hospital has been able to manage foreign doctors to come to Bangladesh to serve our people in a much cheaper rate," Al-Amin said.

All brain tumours, liver tumour, scarless laparoscopic surgery, pancreatic tumour, complicated biliary injury, neurovascular, all complicated fracture, HIPKnee, arthroscopic surgery, all thoracic surgery, lung tumour, heart bypass, all advanced surgery , all complicated gynae operations , complete hear management & advanced assessment, angiogram and so on services will be provided by the doctors at the hospital.
