State University celebrates SUB DAY '08

State University of Bangladesh (SUB) celebrated SUB Day 2008 in the city's Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel Wednesday to mark its 6th anniversary.
Members of SUB board of governors (BOG), academic council, faculty members and officials along with renowned academicians, journalists and media personalities were also present on the occasion.
SUB BOG Vice-President Dr Mahbubur Rahman welcomed the audience and briefed them on the inception of SUB. BOG President Dr AM Shamim thanked the SUB family for their continuous effort in enriching and developing the university.
SUB Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr MS Ilyas Dhami reiterated SUB's effort in providing quality education to enable the nation march ahead. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor and SUB BOG founder member Professor Dr SMA Faiz also spoke in the programme.
After the speeches, a pictorial presentation of SUB's different departments was made. The programme ended with a banquet, followed by musical soiree and raffle draw.
