Newly-appointed Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc said on Thursday it is a challenge for him to stop human trafficking, reports UNB.
The Minister came to the ministry at around 9:45 am and exchanged views with the officials of the ministry.
"We will also look into the actual reason why humans are being trafficked through the risky sea routes and expect help of all officials to stop human trafficking,'' said Nurul Islam.
He also said the ministry will take steps to send female workers to Saudi Arabia and Malaysia in a larger number and give importance to building skilled manpower and creating more overseas jobs.
Nurul Islam asked the officials to come to office in time and not to misguide him in any issues.
