SYLHET, Sept 4 (UNB) : A student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) committed suicide by hanging himself with window grill at his house in Surma residential area near the university on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Shahriar Mazumdar, a 5th year student of architecture department of the university.
Shahriar hailed from Chittagong.
Sources said getting no response from the room of Shahriar, his roommates informed the matter to police around 8:00 pm. Later police recovered the hanging body, breaking open the door of the room and sent it to a local hospital morgue.
However, the reason behind the incident could not be known immediately.
