Task force to stop making obscene movies, check video piracy

The government has formed a six-member task force to stop the making and screening of obscene movies and to check video piracy, reports UNB.
The task force was formed Tuesday with the deputy director of Intelligence Wing of RAB Headquarters as its convener.
The other members of the committee are assistant director of RAB Headquarters (operation wing), assistant director (security) of Bangladesh Film Development Corporation, secretary of Bangladesh Film Censor Board, senior assistant secretary of Information Ministry (film) and representative of Bangladesh Film Producers' and Distributors' Association (nominated by the FDC Managing Director).
The task force in its drive will seize obscene movies or posters and pirated VCDs, CDs and DVDs, and hand over the offenders to the law enforcing agencies.
