Teachers to receive retirement benefit cheques at home

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid Wednesday said the government would send the retirement benefit cheques of teachers to the addresses of their respective residences, reports BSS.
"It is a qualitative change, as the teachers will not have to run after the cheques after their retirement anymore rather the cheques will run after them," he said while speaking at a cheque distribution ceremony in the city.
During the function, the minister handed over cheques to 104 teachers, who intend to perform the holy Haj this year.
