SYLHET, July 15 (UNB): A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a gang of youths at Berkuri village under Balaganj Upazila Wednesday night.
The victim of Ratna village at Rajnagar Upazila of Moulvibazar district recently came to visit her maternal grandfather's house at Berkuri village. Sources said local terrorist Suhel Mia picked up the girl and took her to an abandoned house and violated her along with his other cohorts throughout the night.
A watchman of a local bazar Thursday morning rescued the victim in profusely bleeding condition. Later, she was admitted to the Osmani Medical College Hospital in critical condition. A case was filed against Suhel and his six accomplices with the Balaganj police.
