Thirteen killed in separate incidents

Thirteen persons were killed and many others injured in separate incidents in different places of the country during the last two days, report agencies.
In Habiganj, two people were killed and 40 others injured in separate road accidents in Sadar and Chunarughat Upazilas of the district Thursday.
Witnesses said 40 people were injured as a bus fell into a roadside ditch at Durgapur on the Chunarughat-Shayestaganj Road in Chunarughat Upazila when one of its front wheels deflated at about 10:30 am.
In another incident at about 11:30am, a tempo helper, Sohag of Bahula village in Sadar Upazila, was killed when his vehicle turned turtle at Poddarbari on the Habiganj-Shayestaganj Road in Sadar Upazila.
In Sylhet, two people were killed in separate road accidents in the district Wednesday.
In another incident, a young man was crushed under the wheels of a truck in Sarighat area of Jaiantapur Upazila Wednesday.
In Kurigram, hanging body of a police constable was recovered from the office of Police Super here Thursday morning.
The dead was identified as Abul Kalam who hailed from Pirgachha Upazila of Rangpur district.
In Bagerhat, a fish trader was beaten to death by his rival group at Garibpur village in Chitalmari Upazila.
The police said his rivals beat Anumanta Gayen mercilessly following a dispute over the ownership of a fish enclosure in the evening, leaving him critically injured. Later, he died on way to the local hospital.
Earlier, van-puller Dihidar was also beaten to death at Charchingri village in the upazila by miscreants.
In Gopalganj, a rickshaw van driver was killed by unidentified assailants at Batikamari village in Muksudpur Upazila.
In Nilphamari, a man was electrocuted at Baragachha village in Domar Upazila Wednesday.
In Madaripur, Sahabuddin of South Kawapuri village in Sadar Upazila was electrocuted when he was repairing an electric wire in his house.
In Mymensingh, at least two people were killed in two separate road accidents yesterday in the district.
The police and local said, an unidentified youth yesterday morning fell from the roof of a passenger bus at Charjougara under Halwaghat Upazila and died on the spot.
In another accident an unidentified woman was crashed under the wheels of a bus at Khakdahar area on the Mymensingh-Tangail road last night. Separate cases were filed with the respective thanas.
In Chuadanga, Mina Khatun, wife of Rifazuddin of village Bishnopur under Damurhuda Upazila committed suicide at her house.
The police said she committed suicide by cutting her throat at night on the day.
