Three alleged drug dealers held in city

Plain-clothes police arrested three alleged drug dealers along with 1,000 bottles of Phensidyl syrup in the city's Khilgaon area on Sunday night, reports UNB.

The arrestees were identified as Rashidul Islam alias Rashi, 22, Ismail Mondal, 35, and Jahangir Alam, 33.

Acting on a tip-off, a special Detective Branch (DB) team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) challenged a truck in front of Khidmah Hospital at Khilgaon about 9:30 pm.

Searching the truck, the detectives recovered 1,000 bottles of Indian contraband Phensidyl syrup and later arrested the three drug leaders.
