Three arrested in classmate killing case

RAJSHAHI, Sept-1: The members of RAB-5, Rajshahi Monday night arrested three teenaged boys from Natore who abducted their classmate, killed him and demanded ransom from his father.

The arrested juveniles were identified as Husaid Hossain (15), son of Moktar Hossain of village Jore Mallick of Singra upazila, Bayezid Hasan (24), son of Babul Hasan of village Naopara under Bagatipara upazila, and Naim (15), son of Abdur Rahim of Kalur Morh under Natore sadar thana.

According to confessional statement of the arrested boys, RAB recovered the body of their classmate Tanvir (11), only son of Saiful Islam Tushar of the Halfrasta area of Natore Sadar, from inside a septic tank behind a Madrasha of Alaipur of Natore.

According to sources, on August 28 last, Saiful Islam Tushar informed the members of RAB-5 in Rajshahi that on August-25 afternoon miscreants abducted his only son Tanvir and were demanding Taka 0.5 million from him as ransom over the mobile phone. Being informed, members of RAB rescued the body of Tanvir and arrested the abductors.
