Three arrested with two firearms in city

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members arrested three people, including a fugitive accused in a murder case, along with two firearms at Banianagar of the city's Sutrapur area Monday, reports UNB.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-3 raided the rented house of Manju Rani and arrested Mohammad Azahar alias Suman, Sanjit Saha and Mohammad Shahidul Islam at about 7.00pm.

During the three-hour drive that started at about 4.30pm, the elite forces also recovered a revolver, a pipe-gun and seven rounds of ammunition from their possession.
