Three-day programme on Nazrul's death anniversary from Aug 25

The Nazrul Institute has chalked out elaborate programmes in observance of the 31st death anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in a befitting manner, reports BSS.
The programmes will begin with an art competition for children and juveniles at 3.00pm on August 25 and a poetry recitation session at 5.00 pm on the same day, a press release said in the city Wednesday.
The other programmes include Nazrul song competition for children and juveniles at 4.00 pm on August 26 and placing wreaths at the mazar of the rebel poet at 7.00 pm on August 27.
On the concluding day, the Nazrul Institute will hold a discussion at 4.00 am in the institute's auditorium. It will be followed by a cultural function.
Chairman of the Nazrul Institute Trusty Board Rafiqul Islam will chair the discussion to be attended, among others, by joint secretary of the cultural affairs ministry Suraiya Begum as the special guest and Ahmed Kabir, granddaughter of the national poet Khil Khil Kazi and executive director of the institute Zikrur Reza Khanom.
