Three killed, five injured in road accident in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Sept 9 (UNB): Three people were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a night-coach and a truck at Fakirhat in Sitakunda Upazila Sunday morning.
Witnesses said the Dhaka-bound goods-laden truck while overtaking a bus collided with the Chittagong-bound night-coach at about 8:00 am killing coach passenger Jasimuddin (38) on the spot and injuring six others.
The injured were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where Nazrul Islam (29) and another unidentified young man, aged about 30, died later.
Vehicular movement on the route remained halted for over an hour following the accident causing severe traffic jam on both sides of the road.
