Three killed in Narsingdi road accident

NARSINGDI, Mar 29 (UNB): Three people were killed and five others injured as a CNG-run auto-rickshaw crashed into a private car on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Gokulnagar in Belabo Upazila Saturday.

The deceased were identified as autorickshaw passengers-Sagir Miah (28), Kabita Begum (18) and car driver Helal.

Witnesses said the autorickshaw crashed into the Bhairab-bound private car from Dhaka at around 4:10 pm, leaving the three people dead on the spot.

The injured were admitted to Bhairab Upazila Health Complex.

Highway thana police recovered the bodies and sent those to Sadar Hospital morgue.

Man killed in city

BSS adds: A middle-aged man was killed in a road accident near city's Science Laboratory Road Saturday.

Two passenger buses crushed Badol Mollah (40), an employee of a press at Fakirapoool, under the wheels while he was crossing the road at around 12.30 pm, police and witnesses said.
