A Dhaka court has granted bail to three Transcom Group officials in two separate cases of embezzlement and illegal transfer of company shares, reports BSS.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain accepted the bail plea from the trio -- Transcom Company's corporate finance director Abdullah Al Mamun, manager Abu Yusuf Md Siddique and assistant company secretary Mohammad Mosaddek.
On April 21, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Rashidul Alam's placed the trioon a three-day remand scrapping their bail applications.
According to the case, on February 22 this year, Shahzreh Huq, daughter of late Latifur Rahman who was the founder of Transcom Group, filed three separate cases with Gulshan thana against them for allegedly embezzling Tk 1.0 billion, possessing property forcefully and illegal transfer of shares of the company.
