Transparency Internati-onal, Bangladesh (TIB) urged the government to impose a permanent ban on plying of vessels through Sundarbans rivers.
In a press statement, TIB also expressed concern over the refusal of imposing permanent ban on plying vessels by the shipping minister and other government agencies.
TIB executive director (ED) Iftekharuzzaman said, "We have witnessed the catastrophe arising out of plying vessels through the rivers of Sundarbans."
