Titas conducts drives against illegal connections

Titas Gas Distribution Company Ltd carried out drives on Monday and disconnected gas supply to over 50 households in different areas in the capital.

General Manager (Revenue) Md Rashidul Alam led the drives on different households at Sobhanbagh, Dhanmondi, Panthapath, Hajaribagh, Elephant Road, Jigatola, Mohammapur, Mirpur and Shymoli and other places.

He said that gas lines were disconnected due to illegal connections and arrear bills.

"The gas lines were disconnected as the users were reluctant to pay the bill despite repeated notices," he said.

"We will continue the drive by phases in other zones too," he said.
