Titas snaps 60 gas lines in city

The authorities of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd disconnected gas lines of 60 customers in some parts of the city on Tuesday due to non-payment of bills and illegal connections.

Sources said, a team from Titas Gas led by its General Manager Md Rashidul Islam conducted a drive at Paltan, Motijheel and in some areas of the old part of Dhaka and cut off the gas lines on the above-mentioned allegations.

Of the total lines, 53 were snapped for not paying bills duly while the rest seven were cut off for pilfering gas through illegal connections.
