Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd last month cut off gas connections of a number of industrial and commercial units on charge of illegal use of the distribution system and non-payment of bills, according to a statement.
Gas connections of two industrial units were snapped for illegally using 38.53 km gas distribution system while 163 gas burners of five industrial and two commercial units and one captive power generator were disconnected for not paying the arrear gas bills.
The move came as a part of its ongoing drives, including mobile court, special inspection/disconnection, to prevent unauthorised use of gas, Titas said in the statement.
