Tk 250.6m Bagerhat municipality budget announced

BAGERHAT, Jun 27 (UNB): A Tk 250.6 million (Tk 25.06 crore) budget of Bagerhat municipality for 2008-2009 fiscal has been announced without imposing any new tax.

Municipal chairman Khan Habibur Rahman placed the budget through a press conference at local press club Thursday.

In the proposed budget, Tk 38 million has been shown as income from revenue sector while Tk 212.6 million from development sector.

Revenue expenditure has been estimated at Tk 34 million while development expenditure at Tk 211.5 million in the budget.
