Woman takes life in Magura

MAGURA, Oct 19 (UNB): A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself after being tortured reportedly by her husband for dowry at Sonatundi village in Sreepur upazila here on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Jasmine Nahar (20), wife of Rentu Molla (30) of the village.
Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sreepur thana, said police recovered the hanging body of Jasmine from her house on Friday night.
Quoting local people the OC said Abdul Aziz of Sadar upazila married off her daughter Jasmine with Rentu seven months ago.
