Train bogies derail in Naogaon

NAOGAON, June 9 (UNB): Train communication on the Parbatipur-Khulna-Rajshahi route remained halted since Friday night as an engine along with seven compartments of a freight train derailed at Atrai rail station here.
Railway sources said the engine and the seven compartments of the Parbatipur-bound freight train from Khulna veered off the track soon after it approached the outer signal of the station at about 10:30 pm.
Train communication on the route could not be restored until 12 noon Saturday as no rescue train arrived at the spot.
