Training programme for economic journos ends

A three-day training programme for development and economic journalists on "Development planning, budgeting and project management" ended in the city on Tuesday.

The General Economic Division (GED) of the Planning Commission organised the training.

Total 22 members of the Development Journalists Forum of Bangladesh (DJFB) and Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) took part at the training course organised at the PC in Dhaka.

GED member Professor Shamsul Alam, Planning Division Secretary Md Ziaul Islam, ERF President Saif Islam Dilal and Project Director of the Establishment of the BCS Economic Academy Abu Sayed Md. Kamruzzaman spoke at the closing session of the training course.

Prof Alam said this training would not only enhance professional knowledge of journalists, it will also establish a better bonding between public sector planners and newsmen.

Earlier, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal inaugurated the training course on Sunday.
