Transport strike in 8 dists postponed

MYMENSINGH, May 27 (UNB): Dhaka Divisional (North) Transport Owners-Workers Oikya Parishad postponed Tuesday until May 29 its indefinite strike enforced in eight districts of Dhaka division to press home their seven-point demand.
President of Mymensingh Motor Owners Association Mamtaj Uddin told reporters that they had decided to withdraw the strike following a fruitful meeting between the Oikya Parishad leaders and the government in the city.
