People travelling to Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA) have crowded Square Hospital to get meningitis vaccinations after the country made it mandatory for those travelling to the kingdom for Hajj, Umrah, or on visitor visas, reports bdnews24.com.
Different travel agents informed travellers that a few private hospitals in Dhaka offer the vaccination. On Tuesday, many of them rushed to Square Hospital in Panthapath to get the vaccine. Some of them began to stage protests when they could not get it. At one point, they blocked the road near the hospital.
Meanwhile, Travellers going to Saudi Arabia on work visas will not require meningitis vaccinations, but those travelling for Hajj, Umrah or on visitor visas will be required to have them from Feb 10.
