Trial under Speedy Tribunal Act

The Inspector General of Police, Noor Mohammad, warned Wednesday that extortionists, eve-teasers, campus miscreants and tender manipulators will be tried under the Speedy Tribunal Act.
The measure would help stem the rising incidents of crimes, he said.
The warning from the police chief came just a day after bloody clashes between two rival groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at Barisal Polytechnic Institute - a common occurrence in many education institutions.
