Tribal leader Chandra Shekhar shot at in Rangamati town

RANGAMATI, Feb 25 (UNB): Reformist tribal leader Chandra Shekhar Chakma, the former secretary of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity, was shot and wounded in the hill-district town Wednesday morning.
He was taken to General Hospital from where he was shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital at about 11:30 am.
The bullet-stricken Chandra Shekhar said a tribal youth shot him in his right chest "from a close range" at Chamaknagar while he was returning home from bazar at about 10:00 am.
Hearing about the incident, State Minister for CHT Affairs Dipangkar Talukder visited him at the hospital.
