Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has asked the Border Security Force (BSF) to strengthen its watch along the Bangladesh-India border together with other paramilitary and state security forces, reports UNB.

The chief minister, accompanied by senior security and civil officials on Friday, visited the border area, and asked the BSF to stay more vigilant while resorting to firing and maintain friendly relations with people living along the frontiers, according to Indian media.  "BSF, CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) and Tripura State Rifles (TSR) must jointly operate along the borders with Bangladesh to curb terrorism and trans-border movement of militants," reports Business Standard on Saturday quoting an official as said by the chief minister.
