CHITTAGONG, Apr 23: The Trust Transport Services, a project of Army Welfare Trust, has announced 15 per cent discount in the fare for the government officers and journalists of Chittagong.
Major Ahsan made the announcement in this connection at a press conference at Chittagong Press Club on Thursday.
He said the Trust taxi cab started its journey in Chittagong with 50 cabs and one micro and hiace to ensure smooth and secured journey towards different directions. The TTS has already gained popularity among the travellers of the port city, Airport, Cox's Bazar, Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban hill districts.
The regular fares from Cantonment to Airport (24 kilometres) are Tk 833 for a cab, Tk 2,000 for a micro and Tk 2,500 for a hiace while the discounted fares are Tk 708 for a cab, Tk 1,700 for a micro and Tk 2,175 for a hiace.
The regular fares from Cantonment to sea beach (29 km) are Tk 1,003 for a cab, Tk 2,200 for a micro and Tk 2,700 for a hiace while the discounted fares are Tk 853 for a cab, Tk 1,870 for a micro and Tk 2,295 for a hiace.
The regular fares from Cantonment to Bandarban (150 km) are Tk 5,117 for a cab, Tk 8,000 for a micro and Tk 10,000 for a hiace while the discounted fares are Tk 4,350 for a cab, Tk 6,800 for a micro and Tk 8,500 for a hiace. The rate is the same from Cantonment to Cox's Bazar as the distance is same.
The regular rates from Cantonment to Kh-agrachhari (107 km) are Tk 3,655 for a cab, Tk 6,500 for a micro and Tk 8,500 for a hiace while the discounted rates are Tk 3,106 for a cab, Tk 5,525 for a micro and Tk 7,225 for a hiace.
