Two army officers made Lt General

Two officers of Bangladesh Army Major General Mollah Fazle Akbar, ndc, psc and Major General Md Mainul Islam, awc, psc have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General Sunday, says an ISPR press release.
Lt General Fazle Akbar is presently serving as director general of Forces Intelligence and Lt General Mainul Islam is serving as chief of general staff (CGS) at Army headquarters.
Lt General Akbar was born in Chittagong in 1956 and studied in Fauzdarhat Cadet College. He took part in War of Liberation while he was a student. He was commissioned in Artillery Regiment of Army November 30, 1976.
Lt General Mainul Islam was commissioned in Infantry Regiment of Army May 08, 1977. During his long career he served as DG of BDR, Director of Military Intelligence and as Infantry Brigade Comm-ander.
