Two arrested with firearms in Pabna

PABNA, Feb 7: Two men were arrested along with firearms by law enforcers from different places in Pabna sadar upazila on Friday morning and Thursday evening.

The members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested a man along with firearms from Ialmgati village in Pabna sadar upazila on Friday morning.

The arrestee was identified as Ripon, 32, son of Maligasa union Awami League president Abdul Quader and village of Mozidpur in the sadar upazila.

On secret information, a team of RAB-12, Pabna camp raided Islamgati village and arrested Ripon and seized 30 rounds of bullets of gun and pistol from his possession. He was handed over to Pabna sadar police station, OC Kazi Haniful Islam said.
