Two Bangladeshi workers were killed and two others wounded in a missile attack at Benghazi in Libya Saturday night.
Labour Attaché of Bangladesh embassy in Libya Mohammad Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui confirmed the information to The Financial Express over phone on Monday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Shawpan Miah, 34, and his younger brother Milon Sayal, 32, both sons of Abdul Kuddus of Shariatpur.
Among the injured persons, Kamal was undergoing treatment at a local hospital while Ibrahim was released after receiving first aid. Both Kamal and Ibrahim hail from Brahmanbaria.
Mr Siddiqui said a missile hit the labour camp at Sama Libya, a water purifying factory when 32 Bangladeshis were asleep. Of them two were killed and two others injured. The bodies were kept at Benghazi Medical Centre.
He said the remaining workers were taken to safer places by the company.
Nearly 50,000 Bangladeshis are currently working in Libya and of them a large portion is living at the Benghazi city, sources said.
