CHATTOGRAM, Mar 04 (UNB): A court here on Monday granted a five-day remand for two suspected gold smugglers in a case filed over the recovery of 600 gold bars from Joralganj in Mirsarai upazila.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Shahidullah Kaisar passed the order when the investigation officer of the case sought a 10-day remand to interrogate them over the gold seizure.
Those remanded are Karim Khan Kali, 34, and Rakib, 34.
Court Inspector Bijon Kumar Barua said police on Sunday arrested the duo along with the gold bars.
