Two cops among 15 injured in clash

THAKURGAON, July 6 (UNB): At least 15 people, including two policemen, were injured in a clash between two rival groups at Gobindanagar village in Sadar upazila Friday over a land dispute.
Police and local sources said the clash ensued between the supporters of Jahidul Islam and district Motor Owners Association Secretary Ramjan Ali at noon following an altercation over ownership of a piece of land.
Both groups used lethal weapons during the half-an-hour clash, leaving 12 people from both sides injured.
