MYMENSINGH, Oct 20 (UNB): In a daring swoop on the passengers of a running inter-city train in the district Friday night, bandits tossed four passengers off its rooftop onto the ground, leaving two dead and two wounded.
Local sources said a gang of muggers attacked the rooftop passengers of the Mymensingh-bound Brahmaputra Express at about 9:30 pm in Singher Botgachh area under Gafargaon Upazila and started robbing them of their valuables.
"As the victims tried to resist them, the hooligans threw four of the passengers down from the running train, killing two unidentified youths on the spot and injuring two others seriously," says an eyewitness account of the hold-up.
