The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) has terminated its two teachers for not joining work after expiry of their study leave tenure, reports UNB.
The terminated teachers are - Nafiz Zaman, assistant professor of Information Science and Library Management department, and Md Ahsanul Akbar, assistant professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Department.
The decision was taken on Sunday at a meeting of the DU syndicate, the highest decision making body of the university, with DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
Confirming the matter, Associate Professor Humayun Kabir, a syndicate member, said they have been terminated from their post as they did not join work after the end of their study leave tenure.
