Two electrocuted in Chittagong

CHITTAGONG, Jun 26 (BSS): Two people were electrocuted in Umbagan area in the city's Khulshi thana Wednesday night.

The dead are rickshaw puller Mohammad Hanif and night guard Mohammad Mintu (41).

Police said the victims were electrocuted after they came in contact with a live electric wire while charging the battery of an engine rickshaw in Umbagan area in Khulshi thana around 11.30 pm.

Locals rushed them to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital where the attending doctors declared them dead.
