A passenger bus caught fire when it collided head-on with a motorbike in Banani area of the capital on Saturday.
Police said two persons were injured in the incident.
Rashed Bin Khalid, duty officer at the fire service and civil defense, told the FE that they received information on a fire incident in Banani at about 4:01pm.
Three units of firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the flames at around 5:08pm, he said.
The fire official also said the fire incident took place due to a head-on collision between a motorbike and the bus.
At first, the motorbike caught fire due to the accident, he said, adding that then the fire engulfed the bus when the bike went under it.
Sources said the fire caused a financial loss of Tk 0.5 million.
