Two killed in Ctg road accident

CHATTOGRAM, Mar 25: Two people were killed and six others injured in a road accident in Chattogram on Wednesday.

The accident occurred when a car collided with a battery-run rickshaw on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway in the Rajmahal Community Centre area under Chandanaish Upazila of the district.

The deceased were identified as Babul Dey, 65, and Ranjit Dhar, 55.

The injured were identified as Dilip Mallik, Tiklu Biswas, Riad, Jerin Afroze, Md Ehsan, and Moshiur Rahman.

All the injured were initially taken to Dohazari Health Complex and later referred to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dohazari Highway Police Station, Salauddin Chowdhury, said that police have seized both vehicles and legal action is underway.
