Two more die of Covid-19

The Covid-19 claimed two more lives in the country and 220 more people tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours until Saturday morning.

With these, the total fatalities and positive cases in Bangladesh reached 29,304 and 20,07,199 respectively.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the figures in its regular bulletin.

The two deaths were reported in Rajshahi and Khulna divisions. In the 24 hours 545 more people recovered from the disease taking the total to 19,47,307.

The positivity rate was 5.56 per cent as 3,959 samples were tested in the 24 hours. The rate was 13.71 per cent for the entire period. The fatality rate was 1.46 per cent and the recovery rate 97.02 per cent.
