Miscreants killed a security guard and an unidentified young girl in the city's New Eskaton and Mirpur areas early Monday, reports BSS.
In New Eskaton, a gang of robbers strangulated a security guard to death while escaping with the looted valuables, said Alam, a sub-inspector (SI) of Ramna Police Station.
Hospital sources said the dead is Rahim Bepari (40), security personnel of Runa Security Service, who worked as a guard at house No-33 of New Eskaton for two and a half years.
A case was lodged with Ramna police station in this connection.
Meanwhile, police recovered a beheaded body of a young girl from adjacent area of Rabbani Hotel at Block-C of Section -10 in Mirpur, said Arifur Rahman, a sub-inspector of Mirpur Model Police Station.
She was dressed in a pink-colour salwar and white-colour kameez.
