Two of a family killed in Demra road crash

Two of a family-a housewife and her grandfather-died as a truck hit them at Paiti Road under Demra police station this noon, police and hospital sources said, reports UNB.

Police said the deceased were Tahmina Akhter Khuku, 30, and her grandfather Kowsir Khan, 100, hailed from Bamoil of Demra.

"A truck knocked them down while they were crossing the road at Paiti Road at about 11 am. Later, they were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where doctor declared them dead in the afternoon," said a hospital source.
