Two old men stabbed to death

MYMENSHING, July 16 (UNB): Two old men were stabbed to death by assailants in two separate incidents at Nayapara and Pakpara villages under Dhobaura Upazila Thursday.
Police said Alauddin (70), of Nayapara village went missing Thursday night since he went to a local market. Later, police recovered his slaughtered body from a road adjacent to the market Friday morning.
In the other incident some miscreants called Fazar Ali (60), out of his house at village Pakpara on the same night and fled away after stabbing him to death.
On information police recovered his body from a nearby crop field.
Police suspected that previous enmity might be the reason behind the killings. Two cases were filed.
Another report from Sylhet adds: A young man, critically injured in an attack by his rivals Saturday, succumbed to his injuries at Osmani Medical College Hospital early Sunday.
The deceased was identified as mason Pata Mia (18), son of late Tunu Mia of South Sultanpur village under South Surma Upazila of the district.
