Two people commit suicide in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON, July 7 (UNB): Two people, including an octogenarian woman, allegedly committed suicide at Doulatpur and Araji Gopalpur villages in sadar upazila Wednesday.
In Doulatpur village, Khatiman Bewa (80), wife of late Safir Uddin of the village hanged herself from the ceiling of her room at night.
Family inmates Thursday morning found the hanging body breaking open the door of her house and informed the police. The reason behind the suicide could not be known.
In Araji Gopalpur, an unidentified man (40), hanged himself from a tree adjacent to the village Eidgah field with a rope the same night.
Two separate UD cases were filed with the police.
