SAVAR, Oct 18 (UNB): Two schoolboys drowned when a boat capsized in the Bangshai river here Friday.
The deceased were identified as Faruk (20), student of class-X and Sajib (18), student of class-VIII of Bidyakanon High School in Savar municipal area.
Police said Faruk and Sajib along with their six friends hired a boat from Namabazar ghat for a pleasure trip around the river.
When the boat reached near Porabari Jelepara at noon, it suddenly capsized. All, but Faruk and Sajib, managed to swim ashore.
