UGC finds info on East Asian Univ site false

The University Grants Commission (UGC), on Tuesday, issued a notification against the illegal activities of an unauthorised private university named the East Asian University (EAU).

The regulatory body has found evidence of the EAU's presenting false information on its website (https://eaub.info/).

The UGC has appealed to students, guardians and employers to stay alert and not to fall victim to any kind of fraud by believing the false information mentioned.

Earlier, the commission formed a two-member inspection team to inspect the EAU’s activities.

After the site inspection on January 20, the team submitted a report to the UGC. The report mentioned that there is no campus of the (EAU) in the capital's East Merul Badda area, as mentioned on its website.
