UGC nod to DU to introduce 2 new disciplines

The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have got approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC) to introduce two fresh disciplines from the academic year 2014-2015.

These two new departments are: Applied Mathematics under the Science Faculty and Communication Disorders under the Faculty of Social Sciences, a DU media release said Sunday.

It said considering the demand the university authorities took the decision to open the disciplines from the upcoming academic year.
