The annual Urs marking the 270th death anniversary of Alhaj Hazrat Maulana Shah Sufi Syed Abdur Rahim Shaheed ®, founder of Mia Shaheber Maidan Khanka Sharif, and 10th descendant of Baro Pir Hazrat Abdul Kader Jilani ®, will be held on the mazar premises today (Saturday) at 56-57, Mia Shaheber Maidan Avenue, Luxmi Bazar in Old Dhaka.
A day-long programme including Qurankhwani, putting new 'Gilab' on the mazar after Fazr prayers, hamd, naat, and religious discussion, and discussion on the life and activities of Hazrat Maulana Abdur Rahim Shaheed widely known as 'Baro Huzur' after Zohr prayers have been organised on the occasion.
A milad mahfil has been organised after Asr prayers which will be conducted by Pirjada Syed Abdus Salam while the munajat will be conducted by present pir (Eighth gaddinashin) and fourth mutawalli of Hazrat Abu Yousuf Abdullah ® Waqf Estate and director of Shah Saheb Bari Jame Mosjid Alhaj Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Harnid Ullah (RA)
The milad will be presided over by Pirjada Alhaj Syed Wali Ullah Saheb, youngest brother of present pir.
Later, 'Tabarak' will be distributed among the devotees.
Dhaka City Corporation Mayor Sadeq Hossain Khoka is expected to attend the programme as the chief guest.
Pirjada Ahmedur Rahim Baki has invited all to attend the programmes.
